Our client is seeking a Commercial Lines Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of innovative commercial insurance products. This is a highly technical and strategic role where you will lead initiatives from concept through execution-crafting programs that align with market demands and deliver measurable business impact.
If you are an experienced product leader with a deep understanding of commercial lines insurance, regulatory frameworks, and data-driven strategy, this is a compelling opportunity to influence product direction and growth at a pivotal level.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of new commercial lines insurance programs.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, compliance, and IT teams to design, refine, and implement product offerings.
- Manage the filing process through SERFF and IRFS to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Enhance existing products to improve profitability and performance based on data insights and market shifts.
- Prepare detailed product documentation including forms, rate/rule filings, and implementation plans.
- Present findings and product performance updates to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Oversee multiple concurrent product initiatives with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Translate complex insurance concepts and technical data into clear, actionable insights.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines product management within the P&C insurance industry.
- Solid understanding of ISO forms, rules, and regulatory filing procedures.
- Proven track record of launching and managing successful insurance products with ROI accountability.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis and interpretation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPCU or similar insurance designation.
- Advanced skills in data modeling and market trend analysis.
- Experience managing filings and documentation through SERFF and IRFS platforms.
- Exposure to competitive intelligence methods and techniques in insurance markets.
