Job Description
Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
- Contribute to the development of purchasing and strategic plans.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Serve in purchasing functions.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
- Handle all tactical purchasing responsibilities associated with internal/external supply chain partners to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Work with the Accounts Payable team to investigate, identify and resolve reasons for non-payment of supplier invoices
- Generate requisitions and send Purchase Orders to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate dates in the ERP system and ensure all PO maintenance is addressed as needed.
- Ensure pricing is accurate and up to date prior to placing buys with suppliers.
- Provide vendors with a rolling 12-month forecast.
- Work cross-functionally with the following teams to support initiatives: Sourcing, AO, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations.
Job Requirements
What you need
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint & large ERP platforms (Oracle/SAP).
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication, customer service, analytical and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Demonstrated influence skills. Must be able to persuade others and effectively drive continuous improvement/change diplomatically.
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial concepts, both orally and written, to a broad spectrum of internal users.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and be challenged by a team-based environment which places a high degree of emphasis on accountability for quality/GMP compliance, customer service levels, inventory management and cost reduction.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
