Job Description
Are you a bilingual recruiter with a passion for connecting people with meaningful work? Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the Greater Grand Rapids area, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a high-impact, hands-on recruiting role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being close to the action-inside a dynamic manufacturing setting. This position offers a hybrid schedule (on-site Monday through Wednesday, remote Thursday and Friday) and focuses on high-volume recruitment for a variety of hourly and corporate roles. It's a great opportunity for a bilingual recruiter-especially one early in their corporate recruiting career-who is hungry to learn, grow, and make a direct impact in a business that truly values its people.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume, hourly manufacturing roles, such as:
- Machine Operators
- Team Leaders
- Sanitation Technicians
- Quality Technicians
- Maintenance and Process Technicians
- Support recruitment for select corporate roles including Procurement, Finance, and IT
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to identify staffing needs and fill roles quickly and effectively
- Participate in weekly orientation sessions every Monday and support onboarding logistics
- Utilize ATS and recruiting tools (Workday experience is a plus) to manage candidate pipelines and communication
- Ensure strong candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Collaborate with external partners managing general labor recruitment
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- 1+ year of experience in recruiting, HR, or a related administrative role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple requisitions at once
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and engaging with hourly employees
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general HR tech tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Workday or similar ATS platforms
- Prior exposure to high-volume recruiting
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments
- Eagerness to build a long-term career in talent acquisition
- Self-starter with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Hybrid: In-office Monday-Wednesday; remote Thursday-Friday (some flexibility)
- Core Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (no weekends)
- Collaborative team environment with weekly onboarding participation
