Job Description
Our client, a global food manufacturer in Kansas City, KS, is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a 12-month contract position!
Global company with a great employment brand, culture and working environment!
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift (Nights): 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM
- (2-2-3) schedule, which means every other weekend will be required. This rotation includes working two consecutive days, followed by two days off, then three consecutive days of work, repeating in a 28-day cycle. Every other weekend off!
Responsibilities include :
- Supervising a team of 12-15 hourly employees
- Learning the specific food manufacturing process
- Enforcing GMPs and PPE policies
- Driving key metrics on the production line, and ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, customer service, cost management, labor relations, site security, and safety regulations.

- Effective communication (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage complexity
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Comfort working with all levels of an organization
- Motivational leadership skills
Skills Preferred:
- Experience managing safety and/or quality programs in a manufacturing environment
Experience Required:
- 3+ years of experience supervising/leading a team in a fast paced-manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience Preferred:
- 5+ years of food manufacturing experience
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
