Job Description
Our client, a global leader in plastics manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Setup Technician to join their team on 3rd shift! This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of their advanced injection molding equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hoists to pull and set molds accurately.
- Perform all material handling duties efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and complete all backside setup duties.
- Install and verify hot runner cables and other necessary components.
- Set up and verify EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) and load robot programs.
- Ensure the process setup checklist is completed and validated.
- Confirm cell layout matches specifications as per the blue book.
- Purge new materials and prepare equipment for startup.
- Execute simple start-ups under the guidance of a Process Technician.
- Ensure all materials and components from previous jobs are removed and the area is clean before starting new operations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization in the work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a setup technician, die setter, or mold setter on injection molding equipment.
- Ability to pass certification for hilo, overhead crane, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
Preferences:
- Experience with advanced injection molding techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Shift Availability:
- 1st Shift: 7 am - 3 pm
- 2nd Shift: 3 pm - 11 pm
- 3rd Shift: 11 pm - 7 am
