Medical Device Repair Technician
Job Description
Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Medical Device Repair Technician for a 6 month + Contract. 40 Hour Work Week (5:30am to 4pm - 4 x 10 hour days) - Monday thru Thursday
Position Description
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test and calibrate electronic components, sub-assemblies and instruments in accordance with approved practices and procedures. Follow process documents, test procedures, and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to drawing specifications, workmanship standards, and test procedures, and consistently inspect and identify areas for quality improvements.
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of assemblies to the component level, and interface with engineering in resolving the root cause of technical problems and defect analysis.
- Assure all test equipment is up-to-date on calibration cycle through Calibration Lab.
- Maintain and verify equipment to ensure proper calibration and operation. Complete calibration/maintenance logs and reports on time and accurately
- May provide technical assistance to production line, both assembly and technical when required for line balancing or delays.
- Provide training or assistance to less experienced team members.
- Take initiative and suggest improvements to meet daily team goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Quick learner, customer focused, accountable, and operates with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organization
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to follow written System policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proactive, professional, self-starter
WORKING CONDITIONS: * Requires lifting up to 30 pounds and more with assistance * Frequent
standing, sitting, lifting and reaching overhead * Fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse
environment * Overtime may be required. Typical work schedule will be 4 X 10, but will vary
depending on the needs of the business. * Class III Medical Devices; highly regulated environment
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
