We are looking for an innovative, agile and analytical marketing candidate to assist the marketing team in executing our title level marketing program.
This work will lean heavily into the most relevant digital marketing channels and will, where appropriate, elevate to incorporate .Com wide marketing tools and opportunities to maximize title exposure.
In this role, the marketing associate will be challenged to raise the bar in three key areas: 1) Partner with marketing leadership to develop the marketing strategy for each title campaign, diving deep into the book' s storyline to document each book' s positioning, targeting and channel implementation plan. 2) Partner with the creative group and where required, external agencies to brief each team on the marketing strategy and deliver a clear marketing vision and direction. 3) Oversee the implementation of each title campaign, monitoring each campaign' s performance on a daily basis, and providing data driven recommendations for campaign optimization.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, have a high bias for action, and value the role of analytics to inform effective marketing plans. Experience in marketing with an emphasis in digital marketing is required. : Campaign planning: Create the brief and marketing plan for a large number of titles each year, vetting and documenting our overall title positioning, targeting and channel implementation plan.
: Campaign development: Partner with our creative and agency teams to execute each title brief, which spans across creative development and tactical planning (the details of how we will reach our audiences through each specific channel).
: Campaign implementation: provide a highly detailed eye to executing each campaign, monitoring each for optimization opportunities.
: Tracking and reporting: lead the analysis of performance across campaigns, track performance and report to the organization.
: Cross-functional partnership: partner heavily with our Sales and Editorial teams to ensure that our plans are visible and well documented for their use externally, with sales partners, authors and agents.
: Create pre-plan launch summaries for use with Editorial and Sales.
: Create post-plan summaries, or proof of performance overviews, for use with the internal team and Editorial
: 1+ years of demonstrated experience in digital marketing
: Bachelor' s degree
: Experience with MS Office
4+ years of marketing experience
: Experience analyzing digital marketing campaigns, patterns and data trends to determine if they are meeting business objectives, and in turn leading recommendations to optimize.
: Experience with various data warehouses to mine and organize data in a logical, informative manner.
: Experience executing marketing plans, with a heavy emphasis in digital, which are: creative, supported with sound analytics, and centered on relevant customer insights.
: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
