Job Description

Our client, a leader in the mobility sector, is seeking an eager individual to lead the charge on building a full fledged training program.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a world-class manufacturing training
program from the ground up. You will leverage your experience in production
operations, adult learning principles, and process optimization to utilize
training in support of organizational key performance indicators. A strong
sense of ownership and accountability is expected.
 
Responsibilities
• Create and maintain program documentation (lesson plans, instructor guides, visuals, etc.) to support the overall structured manufacturing training program
• Facilitate new hire Production Associates through all phases of the structured manufacturing training program
• Document attendance and evaluate assessments and/or feedback for all training activities
• Qualify production line personnel as on-the-job trainers
• Provide on-shift training support for production associates and production line leadership, as required
• Benchmark actual workstation production sequence/conditions against current job-task list and training program materials
• Solicit, document, and disposition feedback from respective production line leadership
• Deliver other required training, as assigned
• Review and update department program documentation and production work instructions, as assigned
• Determine appropriate training method for work instruction updates

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of production operations experience with 1-2 years in a training role (preferred)
• Understanding of production process and methodology
• Open collaborative style; ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
• Unfazed by ambiguity and comfortable in environments with shifting priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrates personal leadership and accountability
• Understanding in adult learning principles, instructional design, or education
• Proven time management and organizational skills
• Proven ability to build relationships across organizational departments and reporting structures
