Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE)
Job Description
- Collaborating with product teams to develop standardized procedures and documentation that ensure consistent, high-quality, and low-cost manufacturing
- Providing technical support for capital equipment planning and implementation
- Designing and optimizing manufacturing processes and tooling for current production and new product launches
- Leading APQP teams and continuous improvement initiatives using the Project Launch Guide and a proprietary production system
- Creating and maintaining accurate process documentation, work instructions, and cost standards
- Accurately quoting new parts and updating existing customer quotes
- Training operators on machine operations, SPC, document interpretation, and process improvement
- Interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T principles
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS)
Primary Machines & Technologies utilized in the environment include:
- CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas)
- CNC Swiss Lathe (Citizen, Tornos)
- CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Mazak, Index, Miyano)
Job Requirements
- BS Degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical training with 2+ years of experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficiency in technical documentation, cost estimation, and manufacturing software systems
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Experience with APQP, GD&T, and Lean manufacturing principles

- Root Cause Analysis
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
