Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily production support to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives are consistently met
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process-related issues quickly and effectively
- Analyze current workflows and apply Lean principles to identify and implement process improvements
- Perform root cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions for production issues
- Conduct cycle time studies and maintain up-to-date standard rates
- Assist with maintaining bills of material, routings, and implementing engineering changes
- Collaborate on new product development and changes to existing products, ensuring manufacturability and customer requirements are met
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow charts, PFMEA, work instructions, and visual aids
- Support quoting and acquisition activities for new products and engineering changes
- Maintain and update plant layouts for optimal workflow and efficiency
- Partner with skilled trades and manufacturing teams to deliver sustainable process improvements
- Participate in equipment supplier visits for design reviews, machine commissioning, and acceptance testing
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing, industrial engineering principles, and product launch processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software
Preferences:
Lean Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
