Job Description

Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for an Manufacturing Engineer for a 12 month + Contract to Hire opportunity.  Our client offers results-driven people a place where they can make a difference - every day!  You will also have the opportunity to work with other like-minded, self-directed and detail-oriented Top Talents in an extremely collaborative and professional environment. 

 

The experienced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for resolving manufacturing issues from root cause to the most apparent symptoms.

 

 

Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

 

  • Participating in the development and implementation of reliable methods, working across functional groups.
  • Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and concepts.
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation.
  • Developing best practices and implementing across all products.
  • Designing, conducting, and developing reports for experiments to characterize and validate new or changed manufacturing processes.
  • Training assemblers in new manufacturing processes.
  • Balancing the production line.
  • Justifying, specifying, ordering and coordinating the installation and qualification of tooling and equipment.
  • Evaluating product designs and facilitating DF(X) improvements.
  • Determining appropriate material presentation and packaging.
  • Improving ergonomics of manufacturing methods.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree; preferably in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in process design, development, and process/equipment qualification or validation.
  • Ability to efficiently collect and analyze data.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
