To plan, develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in
accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch
for new or revised product lines.
Research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
Prepares and maintains detailed machine layouts
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
Designs, develops and tests and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
Suggest and participate with Kaizen projects
Develop, monitor and implement safety machine guarding and features
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency
Represents engineering on cross-functional teams
Bachelors degree required
2+ years of experience required
Ability to produce drawings free from errors through the use of the Catia, AutoCad and Inventor software.
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment
Knowledge and understanding of core engineering skills including APQP, FMEA, PQCT s. Blueprint reading and core quality tools
Knowledge and understanding of the ISO & TS standards and MIOSHA
