Job Description
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a knack for lean processes and optimization? Our client, a leading industry player, is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their high-achieving team. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage design projects, including new capabilities, integration, and automation.
- Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions for product equipment issues.
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, leveraging LEAN principles for enhanced personnel, material, and utility utilization.
- Contribute to the development of new products or changes related to current products, focusing on the organization's ability to manufacture and consistently meet customer requirements.
- Complete comprehensive documentation, including process flow charts, PFMEA, process sheets, visual aids, capacity and utilization charts.
- Assist in maintaining manufacturing work instructions, bills of material, routings, and engineering changes.
- Support the quoting and acquisition process for new products and engineering changes.
- Collaborate with skilled trades and manufacturing teams on process improvements, ensuring consistent and sustainable performance.
- Visit equipment suppliers to facilitate design reviews, machine commissioning, and supplier acceptance tests.
- Perform any other duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and versatility.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in Manufacturing Engineering, with exposure to manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and product launch processes.
- College degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, AutoCAD or other 2D drafting systems, and SolidWorks or other 3D parametric systems.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred.

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
