Job Description
Opportunity Summary:
Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated a skilled Manufacturing Engineer. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and quality of manufacturing processes within a dynamic and technologically advanced environment. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing and coordinating the installation of plant machinery, modifying tooling, jigs, and fixtures, and excelling in troubleshooting pneumatics and hydraulics systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to not only contribute to ongoing projects but also to play a crucial role in the continuous improvement of manufacturing and maintenance practices.
*Will relocate out-of-area candidates
Responsibilities:
- Adjust plastic production equipment to optimize manufacturing efficiencies.
- Understand and apply customer requirements including FEMA, APQP, MSA, & SPC.
- Apply knowledge of quality requirements to ensure manufacturing equipment produces parts to customer specifications.
- Comply with TS16949 and ISO 14001 system work instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills on the production floor.
- Lead and support teams in process validations and effective problem-solving.
- Maintain and update PFEMA.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and line layouts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to and contribute to the achievement of company KPI's and metrics.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field
- 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
Prefer:
- Proficiency in injection molding is highly desirable.
