Manager: Mechanical Engineering
Pinellas Park, FL 33782 US
Job Description
- 5+ years of machine design experience
- A history of progressive responsibility culminating in 3+ years of managerial experience at an original equipment manufacturer
- Knowledge of design criteria, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for packaging machinery, a plus
- Solid Works (or similar software) experience, with a working knowledge of configurations and equations
Job Requirements
- Manage a mechanical engineering team of ten individuals designing packaging machinery and machine componentry in a cost-effective, user-friendly and serviceable manner
- Interact with Sales, Manufacturing, and Clients to identify solutions to machine and application issues
- Create and maintain schedules to meet agreed upon customer deadlines
- Release parts and designs that comply with company standards and that meet internal schedules
- Create and implement design improvements, cost reductions, and changeover reductions
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
