Need to be flexible with 1st or 2nd shift
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Responsible for Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned
Education & Experience
Minimum of 3 years of related job experience, 5 years preferred. Experience includes welding, electrical trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic experience and installing and maintaining large manufacturing machinery and equipment.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Candidates should have the flexibility to work weekends or an off shift, should production needs require it.
Must have some electrical trouble shooting experience with PLC Controls Systems.
Ability to operate various types of equipment including forklift, platform lift, etc. Operates welder, plasma cutter and cutting torch.
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools necessary
Knowledge of the following equipment: packaging equipment, shredding equipment, belt conveyors, water pumps, pneumatic conveying equipment, and air filter equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Hydraulics knowledge
Good Housekeeping and organization skills needed
Fabrication of parts and components for production equipment.
