Job Description
Our manufacturing client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment. We have openings on all three shifts 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Our client offers a dynamic work environment with a competitive compensation package and room for growth!
Key Essential Functions/Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of technical equipment including PLCs, VFDs, servos, and HMIs.
- Experience with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I, and others.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using basic knowledge of safety circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings for troubleshooting and minor system modifications.
- Safely use necessary tools, including multi-meters, computers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, crimpers, and more.
- Basic experience using AutoCAD or other CAD programs for modifying and printing electrical schematics.
- Effectively communicate with peers, equipment operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a motivated and proactive approach to completing tasks, with appropriate supervision.
- Work closely with suppliers and contractors to maintain safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and high-quality standards.
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage documentation and reports.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Basic technical knowledge and hands-on experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and perform basic system modifications.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and the use of common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
