Job Description

Our automotive manufacturing client in the Greater Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician for the 3rd Shift for direct hire. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in the production process.

This role with involve:

  • Regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and repair defects and malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out components and parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities during downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Install new equipment and machinery as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
