Job Description

Our manufacturing client in the Muskegon, MI area is looking to hire a talented Maintenance Technician on the 2nd and 3rd shifts for direct hire. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment in a manufacturing environment. This includes performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements to production processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and identify any potential issues or hazards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues and develop solutions to minimize downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance history.
  • Assist with equipment installations and commissioning.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical or trade school training in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with maintenance management software.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
