Job Description
Join our client's dynamic team as a Maintenance Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the seamless operation and world-class appearance of their manufacturing facilities. This position is ideal for a strategic leader passionate about overseeing all aspects of maintenance-from planning and supervision to implementation. You will ensure the smooth running of production equipment, contribute to the technical aspects of equipment design and operation, facilities maintenance and lead a team dedicated to achieving both departmental and personal goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of all machinery & equipment, ensuring optimal operation and addressing safety concerns promptly
- Supervise the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and various support systems (like HVAC and compressed air).
- Review and improve the design of new equipment, focusing on maintenance ease and safety.
- Manage external contractors for services including custodial work, snow removal, and landscaping.
- Coordinate environmental safety measures, including spill cleanup.
- Maintain a stock of critical spare parts for essential production and facilities equipment.
- Collaborate with purchasing to optimize costs through various programs like vendor stocking and electronic ordering.
- Develop the skill level of the maintenance team, ensuring training, motivation, and direction align with company needs.
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- 10+ years of maintenance experience within a large manufacturing setting.
- 2+years of management experience
- Strong leadership skills with experience in technical direction, team development, and handling complex manufacturing processes and facility support systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
