Our client in Kansas City, KS is actively looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join their team for a 12+month contract position!
Work Week: 6pm-7am (13 hours shifts), 2x2x3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, etc).
Will train on day shift (M-F 7am-4pm) for about 1 month, then switching to nights
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the peoples work assignments, work force, safety of the people, make sure the food safety training and people safety, manage the flow of finished goods through the warehouse, receiving from production and out the back door.
- Cycle count inventory daily, reconcile with production, communicating needs of the plant as they hold supplies in their area, they supply materials to the plant, so that process is working daily.
Job Requirements
Skills required:
- Basic management skills needed. Will manage up to 25 employees at any given time.
- Effective communication
Experience required:
2+years of supervisory experience in a logistics, shipping/receiving or warehouse environment
Experience preferred:
Supervisor experience in a union manufacturing environment
Education Required:
College degree (minimum Associate's degree)
