Logistics Specialist

This position will involve:

• Coordinate inbound / outbound shipments as required, including:
  • Track requirements via ERP system, customer portals and outsourced EDI systems
  • Contact customers when they are required to set up the transportation.
  • Input and send Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) information via appropriate providers.
• Reviewing available carrier rates on shipments and selecting the most cost-effective carrier eligible.
• Assigning ship date and times to shipments and ensuring those dates and times are accurately reflected on warehouse dock schedules.
• Responsible for export compliance including NAFTA certificates and documentation.
• Preparing records of goods shipped, such as bills of load; calculate and review weight and shipping charges and keep files of shipping records.
• Responsible for an accurate and timely freight quoting process to support the Customer Service and Sales team's needs.
• Track on time performance of inbound / outbound shipments.
• Data entry within the order fulfillment process.
• Coordinating with production and scheduling to ensure a streamlined flow of outbound shipments.
• Field customer feedback, collaborate with manager to provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits, forward to appropriate internal team(s), and follow-up to ensure resolution.
• Review incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy, adjusting as needed, and informing the appropriate contact as needed.
• Provide internal team members with system data and external information upon request.

• 1-3 years experience in transportation role (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Manufacturing ERP system experience

1. Infor, CloudSuite Industrial or Sytline experience is a plus
