Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
Monitors supply chain and acts to prevent bottlenecks, delays and shortages in the flow of materials from warehouse or suppliers to production lines and worksites. Compiles and maintains inventory and status information to optimize movement of material and parts. Uses ERP system to order, receive, ship and store parts and updates records. Ensures required stock is on hand or on order to support operations. Processes purchase requisitions to order required parts. Tracks shipments, confirms rates with carriers, consolidates loads, and selects most cost effective method of transport. Serves as a link between quality, engineering, customer service, production control and manufacturing to provide feedback on potential bottleneck areas. Prepares documentation and reports on progress of work and supply chain issues.
This role will support go-live of the new ERP system at our clients US CDC.
This role will be responsible to identify and resolve issues with product held due to insufficient ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) information needed for receipt.
This role will reach out to supply chain contacts across the globe to address the issues.
This role will review top re-occurring issues and will be asked to find a root cause to close the issue from re-occurrence.
1-2 years work experience or internship Bachelor s degree, preferred in supply chain.
