Job Description
Are you a driven and detail-oriented engineering leader with expertise in product development? Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Product Development Leader to join their innovative team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a focus on leading the development and optimization of products development to meet rigorous performance, durability, and application-specific requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management:
- Manage and mentor a small team of engineers specializing in product development.
- Lead in engineering tasks and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Product Development:
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings for manufactured components.
- Conduct analysis, prototyping, and testing to ensure product performance, reliability, and longevity.
- Ensure products meet compliance standards, customer requirements, and industry specifications.
- Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot and provide innovative solutions for product engineering challenges.
- Work closely with sales, plant managers, and other engineers to implement modifications based on customer needs or for manufacturing improvements.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about advancements in materials, lubrication technologies, and bearing applications.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Maintain current and historical engineering files.
- Oversee engineering tools and ensure operational efficiency.
- Process and finalize all engineering change orders.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
* 4+ years of experience in the product development or related industries.

Technical Expertise:
* Proficiency in product design principles, load analysis, and manufacturing techniques.
* Expertise in CAD and analysis tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, ANSYS).
* Familiarity with a variety of materials, lubrication systems, and failure analysis.

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
