Laser G-Code Engineer
Wilmington, NC 28401 US
Job Description
- Develop and maintain all engineered manufacturing drawings and related supporting documentation for the entire product line, including BOM's.
- Generate quotes and purchase requisitions for material and special-order components.
- Lead all new product launches and review all manufacturing drawing packages.
- Interact with Customer(s) via email, phone, and site visits.
- Remain current with all federal code requirements and provide input to production scheduling.
- Assist with maintaining raw material inventory and provide monthly utilization/scrap reports.
- Keep Lasers running and minimize downtime; schedule and manage preventative maintenance.
- Develop process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.
- Identify potential and existing problems, monitor machine downtime, and provide corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Process Engineering, Quality, Production, and Accounting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
- 2 - 5 years Engineering experience required; Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
- Knowledge of Inventor CAD/CAM Software.
- CAD/CNC programming experience preferred, specifically RADAN.
- Experience with PPAP's is a plus.
- Knowledge/experience using MeiTrak Pro is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, detail-oriented, and articulate communicator.
- Proven ability to work efficiently alone and capable of successfully working in a team environment.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
