Journeyman Maintenance Electrician (1st Shift)
Job Description
Our client, a leading plastics manufacturer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the functionality and safety of the plant's electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment as scheduled, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of injection presses and cementing/coating equipment.
- Diagnose and repair issues in electrical systems up to 480VAC, including planning and executing installations.
- Address PLC and control system issues effectively using schematics and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with electricians and contractors to maintain the plant's electrical infrastructure per NEC standards.
- Develop and manage the site's electrical safety program, including training for arc flash safety.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in the CMMS.
- Adhere to and promote the company's health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Regularly engage in housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Master Electrician license.
- Proficiency in using CMMS for data entry and navigation.
Required Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in basic math for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical installations, wire sizing, conduit sizing, and electrical load calculations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a systematic approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
Certifications:
- Fork truck (Hilo) operator's license.
- Scissor lift operator's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and frequent use of hands in various capacities.
- Regular requirements to sit, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
