Job Description
Are you a skilled electrician looking to bring your expertise to a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our client is seeking a dedicated Journeyman Electrician for a direct hire position on the 1st shift. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills and experience in a supportive and growth-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare order documents related to equipment
- Verify order documents for completeness, functionality, and feasibility based on experience
- Document production material/equipment; correct and amend drawings/circuit diagrams as necessary
- Inspect received parts and initiate rework/adjustments if needed
- Analyze and repair errors and breakdowns/disturbances of electrical production equipment, including the replacement of spare parts
- Conduct scheduled maintenances and test the functionality of equipment
- Handle robot systems in case of disturbances (without programming); conduct data back-ups if necessary
- Conduct installation work according to plans, drawings, and instructions; ensure completeness of all tools and parts
- Determine the installation process and coordinate the timing of order processing
- Install switching devices, electrical/control cabinets, and control panels with partially self-created circuit diagrams; ensure functional efficiency
- Direct and adapt electrical and electronic processes according to defined standards
- Provide support to all activities assigned by the direct supervisor
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Ability to analyze and repair complex electrical issues and breakdowns
- Proficiency in handling electrical tools and testing equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferences:
- Experience with Global Skill Matrix (ViFlow / B-Search) is a plus
- Familiarity with robotic systems and their disturbances
- Experience in creating and amending electrical/control diagrams
- Certification or training in electrical systems and maintenance
