Job Description
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Industrial Engineer.
The Senior Industrial Engineer (Sr IE) supports and advances Operational Excellence throughout the Organization, utilizing intensive and diversified knowledge of industrial engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments, and leads initiatives to refine processes while reducing waste to yield efficiencies that deliver tangible benefits.
Responsibilities
- Uses advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices to resolve issues related to safety, compliance, quality, delivery and/or morale.
- Observes the work, conducts time and motion studies, stratifies losses and performs root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement new and enhanced processes, technologies, policies, and standard work to deliver quality safely, in compliance and within cost and timeliness expectations.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering required.
- Industrial engineer experience in developing / documenting utilization
- Proven development and execution experience
- Demonstrated Project Management experience
- Ability to proactively manage complexity
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others
- Technical coaching abilities a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Google Tools preferred
