Indirect Procurement Analyst

Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Lead Indirect Procurement Analyst for a 3 Month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
The position sits within the Indirect Procurement function and will be focused on:
Partnering with spend owners and Finance to deliver improved cost and service levels
Developing and driving enterprise-wide spend leverage strategies, including strategic supplier development.
Lead/support supplier sourcing activities for assigned projects/commodities (e.G. Corporate spend, consulting, capital projects, etc). Specific activities include:
o Data collection and spend analysis
o Market Research
o The RFx process (also known as go-to-market)
o Implementation and continuous improvement
Develop and drive spend leverage strategies, including policies, and driving best practice sharing and development
Drive supplier management/development activity.
Support ad-hoc projects as required.
Bachelor s degree (Supply Chain Mgt, Engineering, Finance or equivalent).
Master s degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager (or equivalent) preferred.
Training in financial analysis, strategic analysis, negotiation skills and project management
Strong understanding of procurement/strategic commodity management preferred.
5 - 8 years relevant working experience, with preferred experience in a Fortune 500 strategic sourcing/procurement organization or equivalent (or through large client work at a top-tier management consultancy)
3+ years of experience in managing, leading, and developing sourcing/ procurement teams
Subject matter expert level experience in multiple direct or indirect procurement categories.
Sourcing/Supply Chain certifications or training is desired
Experience in commodity analysis/supplier management/project management roles, preferably with Travel, Facilities, Financial, IT or HR categories.
Experience developing, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts, including supply and service agreements.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver results.
Project management capability and experience.
Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Experience working in a med-tech/fast-growing environment is a plus
