IT Systems Administrator

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintain IT support for the facility, collaborating with the admin team as needed, including occasional weekend production and equipment upgrades.
- Provide expertise in Microsoft Server installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Administer Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager for optimal system performance.
- Conduct Active Directory user setup and ensure seamless GPO maintenance.
- Support and maintain the IT Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the IT Admin team to ensure uninterrupted network functionality and peak performance.
- Research and deploy essential Windows/software/firmware updates to keep systems up-to-date.
- Conduct PC hardware and software installations, imaging, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Schedule and execute patching and upgrades during downtime to minimize production interference.
- Provide support for moves, additions, and changes for Server & PC hardware and software while offering direct end-user support.
- Liaise with Corporate IT to manage WAN/firewall rules and troubleshooting, MS Office installs, mobile email setups, and address related issues.
- Maintain and enhance the disaster recovery process, establishing and adhering to a regular test schedule.
- Document software, hardware, and network processes for clear understanding and efficient knowledge transfer.
- Ensure all software applications operate at the most current revision levels, promoting consistency throughout the facility.
- Oversee system backups and conduct regular recovery testing to ensure data availability in case of system issues.
- Assist with camera/security system maintenance.
- Support the plant sound/emergency system to ensure uninterrupted safety measures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
Job Requirements
- Six years' hands-on experience with Server/PC environments (Windows Server 2012 or higher & Windows 10 or higher, MS O365 Pro, TCP/IP, SNMP, VPN) utilizing industrial switches and routers.
- Three years' expertise in server virtualization (Hyper-V) and familiarity with SAN technologies (NetApp preferred, but not required).
- Three years' proficiency in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Experience with VEEAM backup software.
- Familiarity with Oracle and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher.
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
- Automotive tier one sequencing background is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Six+ years of work-related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Technical certifications are a plus. A combination of work experience and applicable schooling will be considered.
- Ability to stand or walk for a minimum of two (2) to four (4) hours a day.
- Capability to perform work while sitting for six (6) hours a day.
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Proficiency in performing repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
