Job Description
Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a ERP Data Validation Analyst for a 12-month + Contract. The analyst role will ensure our business has the highest quality customer and contract data during our transition from several different ERP systems into SAP HANA 4. As part of the Customer Intelligence Data Governance and Data Engineering team, this role will be accountable for validating and maintaining the data quality for integration with SAP.
Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
- Identifying, analyzing, assessing, documenting, and communicating potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used.
- Executing data cleansing programmatically where needed.
- Translating stakeholder requirements to potential data transformation or alignment needs.
- Creating and executing plans for the maintenance of the data integrity based on findings from root cause analysis.
- Performing analysis and communicating trends and patterns in the data.
- Applying fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures for problem-solving.
- Working with enterprise-wide business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements.
- Solving complex technical problems.
- Optimizing the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user.
- Creating testing methodology and criteria.
- Designing and coordinating a curriculum for coaching and training customers in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
- Developing standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems.
- Researching new technology and developing business cases to support enterprise wide business intelligence solutions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in a BI, data engineering, or business systems analyst role
- Proficient in at least one programming language used in data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python)
- Competent in object-oriented programming and data structures
- Proficient in optimizing workflows, pipelines, and processes
- Skilled in ETL/ELT development and orchestration
- Proficient with cloud-based data tools (e.g., Power BI, Apache Spark, Azure, AWS, Databricks)
- Familiar with DataOps, DevOps, or SecOps practices
- Demonstrated experience in ERP system migrations or integrations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
