Job Description
Our client, a family-owned Midwestern grocery/retailer striving to better people's lives in all communities, seeks a senior-level Data Engineer.
Location in order of preference: Hybrid Onsite
Job Summary:
- The ideal candidate for this role has 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
- Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on Azure-based solutions.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
- Required knowledge in SQL, Python, or Scala for data transformation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions.
- Ability to do discovery on existing tools and data flow and recommending data model a plus.
- Experience or understanding of working in digital marketing or ecommerce data domain preferred.
