Job Description
- Design, configure, and validate a secure Site-to-Site (S2S) VPN tunnel between an on-premises data center and Azure virtual network for encrypted data transfer.
- Deploy and configure a Cloud-based Active Directory Domain Controller or Azure AD Domain Services instance integrated with existing on-prem AD.
- Ensure successful DNS, authentication, and identity synchronization between on-prem and cloud environments.
- Implement best practices for network security, access control, and compliance alignment (RBAC, NSG, Key Vault).
- Provide detailed documentation and reusable configuration templates to support later phases of full implementation.
- Collaborate with internal IT, cloud, and security teams to ensure alignment with existing infrastructure standards.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Azure networking and hybrid infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience implementing S2S VPNs or ExpressRoute between on-prem and cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Entra ID synchronization.
- Familiarity with Azure VNet configuration, routing, and network security groups (NSGs).
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks applicable to cloud connectivity (FIPS, NIST, etc.).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for handoff deliverables.
- Functional, validated Site-to-Site VPN tunnel enabling secure data flow.
- Deployed and operational Cloud Domain Controller, synchronized with on-prem environment.
- Configuration and runbook documentation to enable re-use in subsequent phases.
