EDI Systems Analyst
Located in Grand Rapids, MI
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support EDI operations with existing trading partners, while onboarding new partners and maintaining current transaction sets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, third-party developers, and external partners to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and define system requirements for assigned projects.
- Design functional and technical specifications for EDI transactions in accordance with established development standards and methodologies.
- Evaluate, recommend, and assist with the selection of application tools and software to support EDI and integration needs, ensuring alignment with internal standards.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation, including user procedures and system forms, for both new and existing solutions.
- Track and report the status of assigned projects and activities to stakeholders as needed.
- Develop, test, and debug programs related to EDI transactions and integrations with systems such as Oracle EBS and third-party logistics (3PL) platforms.
- Recommend enhancements to data processing standards, systems development methods, and support procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proficient in common retail EDI transaction sets: 832, 850, 855, 856, 810, and 852.
- Hands-on experience with ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT EDI standards.
- Familiarity with EDI communication protocols such as AS2, FTP, HTTPS, and VAN-based EDI.
- Experience working with at least one EDI platform or software tool. Ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in Justransform and transitioning other translators such as CLEO or GoAnywhere over to Justransform.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of IT experience, including 2+ years specifically focused on EDI operations and integrations.
