Job Description

Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a HR Project Manager  for a 2 Month + Contract.  Our client offers results-driven people a place where they can make a difference - every day!  You will also have the opportunity to work with other like-minded, self-directed and detail oriented Top Talents in an extremely collaborative and professional environment.  

 

Our client has created a clear U.S. Non-Travel Business Mileage Reimbursement program for our eligible employees to follow. It includes everything from mileage rates and what expenses can be reimbursed to what records are required from the employees and how they can keep track of them.

 

Program Objectives:

 

  • Define program eligibility requirements: Clearly outline the types of employees (divisions, roles, and locations) that are eligible for reimbursement.
  • Communicate reimbursement rates: In some cases we use the IRS standard mileage rate (CPM - Cost Per Mile), which is 67 cents per mile in 2024, but we also use FAVR - Fixed and Variable Rates.
  • Establish recordkeeping requirements: Communicate what information employees need to provide to be reimbursed, such as the required documents, such as drivers license, proof of insurance, etc.
  • Outline the submission process: Define when employees should submit supporting documents.
  • Automation: Establish and use the HRIS feed, mileage tracking app and reimbursement software to minimize manual work.
  • Relevant data: Understand and communicate the typical driving costs and how reimbursement rates are determined.
  • Mileage Tracking: Help provide messaging on our methods of reimbursing based on individual drivers to help manage costs and avoid additional taxes.
  • Put it in writing: Share our policy with employees to protect our organization in case of legal matters.
  • Meet IRS requirements: Help communicate the accountable plan to ensure that employees' reimbursements are tax-free. Pay attention to rules and guidelines set forth by the IRS and state labor codes.
     

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Creating relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with external resources needed to complete a project.
  • Communicating with vendors: Working with vendors implement products and services.
  • Program management: Managing risk, resources, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating: Working with a team to engage and influence a diverse, effective group of stakeholders.
  • Monitoring: Monitoring schedules, and the impact of changes on the project.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree required (Master degree preferred) with a focus on business, communications, or analytics (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience with a minimum of 1 year of business analytics or data science
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Must be an effective corporate communicator
  • Must be able to work independently and from remote locations and be available to travel, if needed and with reasonable advance notice
  • Must be effective at meeting deadlines and working toward project milestones and stage gates
