HR Generalist/Data Analyst

Our client, a Manufacturing company in the greater Muskegon, MI area, is looking for a HR Generalist/Data Analyst to join their team!
The HR Generalist is responsible for developing key metrics, uncovering vital insights and delivering critical analysis that will lead to data-informed decisions.
Maintains Human Resources (HR) partnership with plant-based HR professionals and serve as the point of contact to provide information and resources HR related policies, programs, and procedures.
Leads HR metrics processes to report and analyze standard and ad-hoc requests of HR related data globally (i.E. Headcount, turnover, productivity).
Develop and implement a comprehensive and automated HR metrics system, focused on facilitating and accelerating performance improvement and immediate feedback to internal customers.
Support business and location leadership to effectively implement corporate HR initiatives.
Develop and effectively utilize a network of Compensation, Communications, Legal and other HR professionals.
Aid the leadership team in weaving all people related initiatives, processes, policies, and activities into an overall leadership approach consistent with our values rather than separate discrete activities. Examples include Lean Manufacturing, Safety, Performance Management, Comp & Benefits, Community Relations, Communications, Career and Leadership Development.
Maintain HR Metrics Database (headcount, overtime, absenteeism, open positions, etc) and analyze HR Metrics data on a monthly basis and prepare reports for BU President and AEN Leadership.
Maintain BU Headcount reporting on a monthly basis, and prepare standard headcount related reporting, as well as respond to ad-hoc requests to evaluate headcount changes. Maintain approvals process for headcount additions and replacements in accordance with our internal requirements.
Ongoing maintenance and audit of data integrity in Global People System (HRIS)
Develop and deliver training to plant HR staff on various HR systems including Taleo, Learn, GPS (HRIS) and compliance systems. Provide planning, consulting and advice to plant HR departments regarding HR system issues and improvements. Create databases and other tools to help locations. Interacts with various system support services in diagnosing and resolving any issues/questions.
Acts as lead on several projects affecting HR management including implement new changes in HR systems, policies, procedures, training, and laws/regulations.
Design, generate and distribute new, routine or special request reports and analyses for various HR related matters from several different systems and resources.
Maintains and enhance BU HR SharePoint. Ensure the integrity, maintenance, security and operation of the HR Shared drive and required websites.
Provide HR administration for BU new hires, promotions and transfers.
Update and maintain HR related policies and work instructions.

5+ years of experience in Human Resources
Process orientation with attention to detail
Exceptional analytical skills
Excellent PC skills /HRIS proficiency with expertise in Microsoft Excel
High degree of interpersonal skills as he/she must motivate and influence others
Strong business acumen and an ability to translate business strategy into HR strategy that drives business results
Project management skills
