HR Assistant/Recruiter


Provides administrative support to the Career Center' s Human Resources department, primarily in the areas of recruiting, on-boarding, employment eligibility and HRIS.

: Education and/or Experience: High School graduate with some college level studies in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
: Previous sourcing experience highly preferred
: Must have computer experience in Microsoft Office programs
: Experience with scanning software, Applicant Tracking Systems, and HRIS preferred
: Must have excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
: Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
: Must exhibit professionalism, confidentiality and interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service.
: Ability to work as a team player and independently, as needed
: Must have strong customer service skills


: Develop creative sourcing strategies for active and passive candidates. Perform searches for candidates using social media tools, networking, internet recruiting, referrals, college recruiting and association memberships
: Work closely with internal recruiting team to execute tactical sourcing strategies to create appropriate candidate flow and pipeline to meet overall recruiting goals
: Manage and document all communications with candidates using an applicant tracking system
: Respond to inquiries from managers and applicants concerning open positions
: Intake, maintain and process Employee Referral Bonus program
: Create and maintain files for clinical agency staff to ensure that they meet the agency clearance criteria as per the Contracted Clinical Staff, Eligibility, Orientation, Clinical Competency and Annual Updates policy
: Assist as needed with preparation for hiring events including registration of candidates and ordering recruitment literature
: Work with recruiters to send an updated list to the ad agency each week of the positions that need to be advertised on Indeed
: Perform background and reference checks for potential new hires and interns
: Process all hires, re-hires and transfers, including gathering required documentation, scheduling for orientation, performing file audits/reviews, coordinating start dates, and HRIS data entry
: Process other employee information changes as needed, including but not limited to terminations, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, and benefit
: Complete employment verifications for current/past employees as requested
: Collect information for employment and/or driving eligibility for current employees and document information in HRIS, as needed
: Perform background screening and motor vehicle reporting on current employees, as needed
: Assist with other HR Department events and projects, as needed
