Job Description
Our client, an innovative leader in the automotive manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Tier 1 manufacturing facility and overseeing all aspects of the operation. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a highly technical and refined patented process that is revolutionizing the industry.
As a turn-around specialist, the ideal candidate will establish themselves as a single, solitary voice on the floor and with upper management teams, and be comfortable in hot and dirty environments, and comfortable navigating high-pressure situations. They will have a strong background in P&L responsibility and a solid understanding of OEM expectations. The successful candidate will also possess exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage a high-performance team.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and direct all aspects of the manufacturing operation, including production, quality control, and safety.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry associations.
* Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Implement best practices and process improvements to optimize operations and achieve cost savings.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-level management role in automotive manufacturing.
* 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in automotive manufacturing
* Strong technical knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and systems
* Solid understanding of OEM expectations and requirements
* Experience in turn-around environments and ability to establish oneself as a single solitary voice on the floor and with upper management teams
* Strong background in negotiation and contract management
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferences:
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
* Experience in a hot and dirty manufacturing environment
* Experience with implementing and managing complex supply chain processes
