Free Trade Analyst

Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Free Trade Analyst for a 12 month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
Provides direction to the division s Trade Compliance team to ensure achievement of divisional business goals and objectives through consistent oversight of all goods imported and exported.
Responsible for record keeping, tariff coding and FTA certifications.
Works cross functionally with legal, regulatory, finance, quality, IT, R&D, OEM and operations teams to achieve mission, vision and objectives.
Executes department s trade compliance vision and achievements to all employees as well as senior staff on a regular basis. Communication may include, but is not limited to: business planning, business review, highlights, weekly meetings, etc.
Manage international supplier/vendors, 3PL, transportation and custom brokerage providers
BA/BS degree in business or related discipline required.
Prefer two-five years of direct international logistics experience.
Must possess excellent communication, research, analytical and negotiation skills.
basic knowledge FTA regulations, FDA importing regulations, US Customs import/exporting regulations, export filing, USHTS coding, FDA product codes, international logistics (all modes), and recordkeeping
Must possess valid driver license in the state of residence.
Basic skills - Time management, project management, inter-personal, reports and records, stress management, database management, customer service, Windows, advanced computer, statistics, financial systems, organization structure, and office equipment.
Functional skills research, record keeping systems, organization structure protocol, inter-departmental interface, inter divisional interface and audit conduct.
Expected to handle complex or difficult situations on a daily basis.
