Our client is in need of a Financial Analyst in Hilton Head Island, SC for a 1 year Temp to Hire engagement.
This position may require occasion travel up to 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Establishes and maintains appropriate business controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Uploads monthly actual and forecast reports into Corporate Hyperion Financial Management System (HFM) and prepares supplementary schedule.
Assists in performing analysis and preparation of reports to ensure the accuracy and company cost control guidelines. Coordinates Basis of Estimate (BOE) inputs from various functional groups.
Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs financial analysis such as funding profiles, sales outlook and variance analysis.
Manages cost quote preparation and ensures all costs are accurately estimated and presented to facilitate product and services pricing decisions.
Tracks and provides status of progress and performance against the approved Plan.
Maintains financial policies, practices and procedures for the Division.
Monitors business for adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, sales orders, expenditures, and preparing expenditure projections.
Participates in the control of costs and schedules on programs.
All other assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline from an accredited university or college.
3 years of manufacturing-related experience, preferably in a DOD contractor environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of, or experience with managing, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Anti-Bribery Compliance.
Experience with SOX requirements and controls.
Superior skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Expertise in Excel, and Intermediate or better experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required
Demonstrated ability of use of pivot tables and complex formulas.
Strong analytical, motivational, and negotiating skills, with a high performance standard and a keen bias-for-action.
Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program/company financial progress/productivity.
Proven ability as a strategic thinker and experience in developing plans for short and long term results.
Demonstrated experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program/company financial progress/productivity.
Preferred experience of as a prime contractor or subcontractor to the USG in the defense industry.
Preferred experience in understanding Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) government flow downs.
Success in a fast paced development and manufacturing environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure.
Possess exceptional communication (both oral and written) and listening skills, with a strong orientation to details, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
Strong relationship building skills at all levels of an organization and the ability to work effectively across functions within a matrix environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a United States citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver s license.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives.
