Job Description

Description: As a Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing sound financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. You will ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and oversee cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collections, payroll, and risk management. This role requires you to lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support to achieve financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance financial performance.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Oversee cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll, and risk management.
  • Understand and interpret financial information related to manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiently navigate ERP software (EPICOR) and provide support for related queries.
  • Manage the Standard Cost System and analyze variances from standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis and recommend selective inventory write-offs.
  • Maintain proficiency in basic accounting practices, including balance sheets, depreciation, GL accounts, GAAP for receivables and payables, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate financial reports with external accounting firms in the UK and India.
  • Collaborate with department managers to establish and monitor annual budgets.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and software such as Microsoft Access for financial analysis.
  • Possess basic programming knowledge to extract and analyze ERP data independently.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Five or more years of experience managing an accounting function in a medium or large company.
  • Minimum of five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and superb attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Engaging, focused, and curious personality.
  • CPA certification (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of tax strategies and experience with R&D tax credits.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and the ability to identify slow-moving items.
  • Experience coordinating with international accounting firms.
