Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking to bring your talents to a leading manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, MI? Our client is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team on the first shift. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing various types of equipment and infrastructure within the facility. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and quality of the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on a wide range of equipment and building infrastructures.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other issues, or escalate concerns to the shift Team Lead if necessary.
- Provide recommendations for improvements on tooling, prototypes, and fixtures to enhance product quality.
- Maintain, inspect, and adjust trim fixtures, assembly fixtures, and support equipment to ensure both employee safety and product quality.
- Follow documented procedures for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) parts sign-out and removal processes.
- Adhere strictly to lockout/tagout procedures and safety regulations at all times.
- Keep supervisors informed of job-related matters and actively communicate with relevant personnel to prevent misunderstandings.
- Contribute to a harassment-free work environment that promotes fairness, equity, and non-discriminatory practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in working with MRO parts management systems.
- Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced production facility
