Job Description
Equipment Test Engineer
Our client is looking for a meticulous and highly skilled Equipment Test Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on testing and validating custom-built solutions that integrate hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics for the automation industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and function flawlessly in real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of custom-built automation equipment.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues found during testing, working closely with the engineering team to resolve them.
- Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing on hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, findings, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on test results.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of test processes into the product development lifecycle.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in testing and validation of complex equipment, preferably in the automation industry.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in using test equipment and software for data acquisition and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferences
- Certification in Quality Assurance or related field.
- Experience with automated test systems and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO, ANSI, or similar.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
