Job Description

Our client  in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and production of automotive components. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and providing technical guidance and support to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and production of automotive components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team to achieve project goals and milestones.
* Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and supply chain to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, production efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs.
* Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the engineering team to drive new product development and technology advancements.
* Develop and manage departmental budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure project delivery on-time and within budget.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
* In-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, quality standards, and industry best practices.
* Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead a team of engineers towards common goals.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
