Job Description

 Our client, a global manufacturing company in Muskegon, is actively looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team!

This position is responsible for managing and providing strategic direction for the Engineering Department. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Motivate, direct, and mentor Engineering Department employees (5)
  • Follow all company 6-S policies and initiatives, and ensure Engineering employees are compliant.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S policies and procedures, and ensure employees and equipment operate in a safe and compliant manner
  • Manage capital budget, project scoping, approval, and implementation
  • Establish a strategic plan to identify opportunities for optimizing overall equipment and process effectiveness.
    Develop a standard process for new equipment installations, and equipment upgrades.
  • Drive process evaluation and improvement projects related to yield improvements, scrap reduction, and cost take-out.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root-cause investigations of significant events, striving for a zero-defect process.

 

Job Requirements

Must have:
 
  • 10+ years of Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • 3+ years of Engineering management experience
  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related field

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
