Summary:
Our client, a leader in plastics manufacturing, is seeking dependable and safety-minded Production Material Handlers to support operations during 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role plays a critical part in keeping the production floor running smoothly by ensuring raw materials, WIP (work in progress), and finished goods are delivered and staged accurately and efficiently. 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Opportunities Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts including counterbalance, reach truck, or other powered industrial vehicles.
- Transport raw materials to production lines and remove finished goods to designated staging or storage areas.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring accuracy and care with all shipments.
- Track inventory movements using handheld scanners or manual logs as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
- Support general material handling and light production tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Prior material handling experience in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with WIP and finished goods inventory movement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic skills with barcode scanners or computers
