Job Description
Our customer, a leading manufacturing company based in Grand Rapids, MI is looking for a passionate motivated an EHS Manager (Environmental, Health & Safety) to join their outstanding team.
What you will get to do:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Identify applicable health and safety regulations and risks, working with cross-functional teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance for Process Safety Management programs, including procedures, training, and compliance.
- Investigate and analyze near misses, accidents, injuries, and incident trends, assisting in the root cause analysis process.
- Participate in health and safety audits to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with external vendors to manage costs and maintain inventory.
- Coach and develop team members, ensuring organizational success, identifying talent, and providing opportunities for growth.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in safety, occupational health, public health industrial hygiene, or a related safety field.
- Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading safety teams and managing safety-related programs.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Health & Safety Management systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
- Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, safety management systems, Adobe, and cloud ERP programs (e.g., Oracle).
- Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), First Aid/CPR.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
