Team Leader – Manufacturing Operations

Our client is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to guide daily production activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Champion and lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, ensuring a safe work environment at all times
• Supervise and support a team of 5–9 employees, maintaining an effective span of control
• Set, monitor, and achieve daily production goals; provide accurate daily metric reporting
• Lead shift start/end processes, including breaks, and ensure adherence to schedules
• Conduct daily safety meetings and actively engage team members in production targets
• Implement, audit, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Support machining and production processes while ensuring adequate floor coverage
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, prioritize issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing tools
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and teamwork across the operation
• Participate in all required safety training and company-led initiatives
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support operational success

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Manufacturing or related field and 3+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role (1–2 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production workflows
• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, and 8D problem solving
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
