Location: Belding, MI Area | Relocation Assistance Available
Are you a hands-on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leader ready to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our client, a well-established foundry, is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to take charge of their safety programs and create meaningful change across their two facilities in the Belding, MI area. Key Responsibilities
As the EHS Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and sustaining a strong safety culture. Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and enforcing EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conducting hands-on safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on the plant floor to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Partnering with employees and leadership to build trust and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Leading and mentoring a small team of EHS staff
- Investigating incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborating with HR, operations, and plant management to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and improve outcomes.
- Providing training programs to increase employee awareness and accountability around EHS practices.
- Managing plant wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and reporting standards.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within casting, melting, or foundry operations.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety policies, coupled with the ability to engage directly with employees on the floor.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience investigating incidents and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to relocate to the Belding, MI area, if needed (relocation assistance provided).

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
