Job Description

Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for an EH&S Coordinator for a 12 month + Contract opportunity.  Our client offers results-driven people a place where they can make a difference - every day!  You will also have the opportunity to work with Nother like-minded, self-directed and detail-oriented Top Talents in an extremely collaborative and professional environment. 

 

Assist in implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). 

 

1st shift 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday,
 Occasional weekend or overtime, as required.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting in implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining safety equipment inventory, performing periodic safety inspections, monitoring hazardous waste removal vendors, and assisting in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical).
  • Interacting with a variety of departments, conducting training in emergency response and hazardous material handling.
  • Monitoring environmental compliance and maintaining liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Recommending corrective actions where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
  • Interacting with others in the administration of the worker's compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.
  • Monitoring industrial health compliance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Associate's degree plus three years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in environmental health and safety or related fields.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, prevent injuries, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
  • OSHA safety certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and hazard mitigation techniques.
  • Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory, or construction safety.
  • Data analysis and reporting expertise.
  • Strong root cause analysis and decision-making capabilities.
